Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The southeastern limb region that was the source of the
recent M-class events has now rotated onto the visible disk.
It has a disappointing C-type/beta sunspot group with a few
small sunspots. NOAA 1589 is mostly unchanged maintaining
its D-type group with weak polarity mixing.
C-class events possible with a chance of an isolated M-class event
in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 1589 on October 11 at 13:00 UT is:

MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The target region, now numbered NOAA 1589, has rotated onto
the visible disk as a D-type/beta region. It has been significantly
quiescent since the M2.3 event on 10/08/11:17 UT. A new region
located mostly behind the southeastern limb was the source of
a few occulted C-class events and two occulted M-class events.
The largest was an M1.7 at 10/09/23:27 UT. We'll switch targets
to the new SE limb region today. C-class events and an isolated
M-class event is possible in the next 24 hour period.
The approximate position of the target on October 10 at 14:00 UT is:
S28E86 (Solar X = -847", Solar Y = -455")

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The northeastern limb region has now rotated partially onto
the visible disk. It is still too close to the limb to ascertain its
magnetic configuration but the region has large leading sunspots
and bright plage. This region was the source of C-class events as
was a region located beyond the southeast limb at approximately
S27. Both regions appear capable of producing an M-class
event in the next 24 hour period.
The position of the target on October 09 at 13:00 UT is:
N14E86 (Solar X = -931", Solar Y = 224")

A new region located beyond the northeast limb was the source
of an occulted M2.3 event at 10/08/11:17 UT. It is possible
that this new region will produce another M-class event
in the next 24 hour period.

Solar flare activity is at very low levels. The background
x-ray flux continues at a steady B2 level. NOAA 1585
(C-type/beta) is producing minor B-class events. No
significant solar flare activity is expected in the next 24
hour period.

appears mostly unchanged. No significant solar flare
activity is expected in the next 24 hours.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
There is currently a long-duration B6.9 flare in progress in NOAA 11580 in
the northwest quadrant; the flare had a rise time of over 3.5 hours. The
target region NOAA 11585 however remains mostly unchanged but is still
bright in H-alpha and X-ray emission. No significant increase in activity
expected at this time.

Solar X-ray flux remains steady around the low B-level. The target region
NOAA 11585 has shown some signs of growth and is bright in H-alpha

Quiet-sun conditions continue with NOAA 11582 producing a single C1 flare
at 09:00 UT yesterday. The new region in the southeast quadrant has been
designated NOAA 11585 and shall remain the target region. It is classified
as a small beta region but is unlikely to produce any significant activity
at this time.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity has returned to low levels now that NOAA 11583 has rotated
over the western limb. The new target region shall be a small unnumbered
active region rotating on to the southeast limb. The region appears bright
in X-ray emission and may produce some isolated low-level events over the
next 24 hours.
