Dear Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 2740 was the source of a
B2.2 event at 05/10/18:42 UT. The event was
associated with the eruption of a long (approximately
20 degrees) filament. 2740 continues in decay phase.
B-class events possible in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 2740 on May 11 at 13:30 UT is:

Target region NOAA 2740 is mostly unchanged and was
quiescent during the past 24 hour period. B-class events
possible with only a slight chance of a C-class event in the
next 24 hour period.

Dear Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 2740 was the source of B-class
activity and a C6.7 event at 05/09/05:51 UT. The C6.7
event was associated with an active/eruptive filament
that was rapidly blown away as a spray. 2740 added
a few new small sunspots to its C-type/beta sunspot
group. B-class events probable with the chance of
a C-class event in the next 24 hour period.

Solar flare activity was at a very low level since the
last message. The largest event was a B4.2 at
05/08/03:54 UT. Minor flux emergence is located
just behind the large leading sunspot. Additional
B-class events probable with a chance of a C-class
event in the next 24 hour period.

Dear Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 2740 was the source of 16 B-class
events and 3 C-class events since the last message.
The largest was a C1.4 at 05/07/11:56 UT. 2740 is now
decaying and has lost its magnetic delta configuration
and is now classified as a C-type/beta region.
B-class events expected. C-class events possible with an
isolated M-class event less likely in the next 24 hour period.

Dear Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 2740 was the source of countless B-class
events and five C-class events since the last message. The two
largest C-class events were a C9.9 at 05/06/05:10 and a C7.3 at
05/06/13:54 UT. After displaying some decay in the opposite
polarity spots located directly north of the large leading sunspot,
new opposite polarity spots emerged within the leader's penumbra
forming a weak magnetic delta configuration. C-class events
expected with a good chance of an isolated M-class event in the
next 24 hour period.The return of old NOAA 2739 is now
visible on the northeastern limb at N05 degrees.

Dear Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 2740 was the source of a C2.1 event
at 05/04/22:43 UT. 2740 also produced several B-class
events including a B9.8 at 05/05/13:42 UT. The new
trailing polarity flux located just north of the large leader
sunspot has decayed significantly since the last message.
B-class activity expected and there is still a chance for
another C-class event in the next 24 hour period.

Dear Collaborators,
The target region now numbered NOAA 2740 was the source
of a long duration limb occulted C1.0 event at 05/03/23:31 UT.
The event was associated with a CME off the east limb.
2740 also produced B-class activity. The large leader sunspot
from old NOAA 2738 has completed east limb passage.
New opposite polarity trailing flux is located adjacent, almost
directly north, to the large leader. B-class events expected
with another C-class event probable in the next 24 hour period.
Old NOAA 2739 located about two days beyond the northeastern
limb appears to be somewhat active.

Solar flare activity has increased since the last message.
A region which is mostly beyond the northeastern limb
produced a flare spray at 14:22 UT today. The spray
was associated with a limb occulted B4 event. This region
is in the location of the return of old NOAA 2738. Additional
B-class events expected with a chance of an isolated C-class
event in the next 24 hour period.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is maintaining an extremely low level.
The visible solar disk is currently spotless and plageless.
Solar activity is expected to continue at an extremely
low level for the first half of the next 24 hour period.
The level of solar activity should increase somewhat when
old NOAA 2738 rotates closer to and onto the northeastern limb
on May 03-04. The leading portion of the target filament
disappeared since the last message. The remaining
trailing segment may also disappear in the next 24 hours.
The position of the filament target on May 02 at 06:45 UT is:
