Solar activity has remained at a low level since the last message.
NOAA 13583 produced a small number of low C-class flares as it
continues its transit beyond the northwest limb. Newly numbered active
region NOAA 13590 produced several mid-level C-class flares at the
northeast limb, the largest being a C6.8 at 09:34 UT today. NOAA 13590
is currently showing signs of significant flux as it continues its
transit onto the solar disk. The target region will switch to NOAA
13590, with a chance of further C-class activity or greater in the
next 24 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is low. Target region NOAA 13583
has grown slightly in sunspot area since the last message and
is now classified as a beta/F-type sunspot group. NOAA 13583
produced four C-class flares in the period, while a region
currently behind the North East limb produced five C-class
flares, and the largest magnitude flare was from NOAA 13584
(a beta/C-type sunspot group) in the form of a C7.9 flare on
17-Feb-2024 at 18:22 UT. The target stays on NOAA 13583 due
to its higher flaring rate, but the North East limb will be
monitored. Additional high C-class flares are probable in
the next 24 hours, with a small chance for an M-class flare.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low-to-moderate level. Target region
NOAA 13576 has now rotated over the South West limb and was
still the most flare-productive region in the period, being
the source of multiple high C-class flares and an M3.0 on
16-Feb-2024 at 21:57 UT. The only other region that was the
source of flaring activity was NOAA 13583 (a beta/F-type)
that produced a C5.2 on 17-Feb-2024 at 05:44 UT. NOAA 13583
becomes the new target. More mid-to-high C-class activity
is expected over the following 24-hour period.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low level. Target region NOAA 13576 slowed
in decay since the last message, increasing again in longitudinal
extent to become classified as a beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot
group. This region continues to be the source of almost all the
flares in the period, having produced multiple C-class flares and
the largest magnitude event (a C7.5 on 14-Feb-2024 at 17:53 UT).
At this point we terminate the MM#003 Major Flare Watch because
the delta-spot in NOAA 13576 has weakened. Further C-class flares
are expected over the following 24-hour period, with a chance for
an M-class flare.

Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is moderate. Target region NOAA 13576
decayed slightly since the last message, becoming classified as a
beta-gamma-delta/E-type sunspot group. This region again produced
multiple C-class flares in the period along with an M1.0 flare on
14-Feb-2024 at 07:26 UT - the joint largest magnitude flare along
with an M1.0 from NOAA 13582 (a beta/D-type group) on 14-Feb-2024
at 03:02 UT. The MM#003 Major Flare Watch will continue with NOAA
13576 for what might be a final 24 hours because it still retains
a delta spot. C-class flares are expected in the next 24 hours,
with a good chance for low M-class activity and a small chance of
an isolated >M5 flare.

Solar activity is at a moderate-to-high level. Target region NOAA
13576 decayed reasonably in terms of sunspot area since the last
message, but has remained classified as a beta-gamma-delta/F-type
sunspot group. This region again produced several C-class flares
and two M-class flares in the period - an M1.5 flare and an M1.6
flare on 12-Feb-2024 at 15:31 UT and 22:00 UT, respectively. The
largest magnitude flare (an M2.7 on 12-Feb-2024 at 20:35 UT) came
from a new region located at the North East limb, but an accurate
classification of this region is affected by its proximity to the
limb. The MM#003 Major Flare Watch will continue with NOAA 13576
for at least another 24 hours as it decays further. More M-class
flares are likely in the following 24-hour period, with a chance
for another >M5 flare.

remained stable in terms of sunspot area and classification (as
a beta-gamma-delta/F-type) since the last message, but may be
showing signs of decay in its trailing spots. This region again
produced several C-class flares and two M-class flares (an M6.5
and M1.1 on 12-Feb-2024 at 03:23 UT and 12:50 UT, respectively)
which included the largest magnitude flare in the period. The
MM#003 Major Flare Watch will continue with NOAA 13576 as its
target region. Further M-class flares are likely over the next
24 hours, with a good chance for another >M5.

initiating an MM#003 Major Flare Watch on NOAA region 13576.

The level of solar activity is moderate. Target region NOAA 13576 grew
slightly in terms of sunspot area since the last message while merging
some spots. This region continues as a beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot
group classification. NOAA 13576 again produced several C-class flares
in the period, along with an M1.2 flare on 9-Feb-2024 at 17:54 UT and
an M1.5 flare on 10-Feb-2024 at 00:42 UT, respectively. A region that
is currently beyond the South East limb was the source of the largest
magnitude flare in the period, an M3.4 flare on 10-Feb-2024 at 03:04 UT.
NOAA 13576 will remain as the default target until more information is
available on the new region after it rotates over the South East limb.
Further C-class flares are expected in the next 24 hours, with a chance
for more M-class flares.

Solar activity is at a high level. Target region NOAA 13576 was stable in
terms of sunspot area since the last message, and remains classified as a
beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot group. This region produced several C-class
flares in the period, along with an M3.2 flare on 9-Feb-2024 at 00:36 UT.
NOAA 13575 produced an M3.9 flare on 8-Feb-2024 at 23:16 UT while at the
South West limb, followed by an X3.4 flare on 9-Feb-2024 at 12:53 UT after
having rotated over the limb. At this point we are not initiating a Major
Flare Watch because NOAA 13575 is currently rotating out of Earth-view.
NOAA 13576 will remain the default target. Additional C-class activity is
expected over the following 24-hour period, with a good chance for further
M-class flares.
