MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar flare activity is at a very low level. The visible solar
disk is currently nearly spotless. The largest x-ray event
was a B5.1 event at 07/16/23:00 UT produced by the target
region. The event was associated with the active filament
mentioned in the message yesterday. The filament was
eruptive at the time of the flare. No significant flare events
expected today.
The position of NOAA 2113 on July 17 at 10:15 UT is:

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar flare activity is very low. The background x-ray flux is
currently at the B1.8 level. The visible solar disk may become
spotless today. The last time the solar disk was spotless was
in August, 2011. There is only one tiny pore located in NOAA
region 2113. NOAA 2109 is now about one day beyond the west
limb. The new target region will be NOAA 2113. 2113 is in
advanced decay phase but there is an active filament located just
north of the region. No significant solar flare activity expected in
the next 24 hour period.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar flare activity is at a very low level. The background x-ray
flux is currently steady at the B2.7 level. NOAA 2109 produced
the largest event since the last message - a C1.2 at 07/15/03:04 UT.
The visible solar disk is nearly spotless. The target will continue
to be NOAA 2109 now located just beyond the southwestern limb.
There is a chance of a B-class event with only a slight chance of
another C-class event in the next 24 hour period.

x-ray flux is currently at a flat B4 level. The largest event
since the last message was a C1.3 at 07/13/20:52 UT
produced by NOAA 2109. The target will continue to be
the southwestern limb where NOAA regions 2109 and 2108
are located. Another C-class event is possible in the next
24 hours.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a low level. NOAA region 12108
remains the largest and most complex region on disk, being
classified as a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group. 12108 has
been the most flare-productive region over the previous 24
hours with being the source of three low C-class flares as
it rotates up to the South West limb. However, NOAA 12109
produced the largest magnitude flare in the same period (a
C6.4 on 13-Jul-2014 at 08:43 UT). More C-class activity is
likely in the next 24 hours, with a chance for an isolated
low M-class flare. Limited field-of-view observatories are
encouraged to include both 12108 and 12109 if possible.

Solar activity is at a low level. NOAA 12108 continues to
be the largest and most complex region on disk, remaining
classified as a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group. 12108 was
the source of the largest flare since the last message, a
C4.6 flare on 12-Jul-2014 at 14:01 UT. More C-class flares
are probable over the next 24 hours, with a chance for an
isolated low M-class flare.

The level of solar activity is low-to-moderate. Small spot
area and decaying region NOAA 12113 was the source of the
largest magnitude flare in the past 24 hours - an M1.5 on
10-Jul-2014 at 22:29 UT. NOAA 12108 is the most complex
region on disk, being classified as a beta-gamma/E-type
sunspot group. This region and 12109 are both in decay as
they rotate towards the South West limb. Further C-class
activity is likely over the next 24 hours, with a chance
for a low M-class flare.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity has returned to a low level. Small spot area
NOAA region 12113 has stopped emerging magnetic flux and is
already in decay phase after achieving a beta-gamma/D-type
sunspot group classification. NOAA regions 12108 and 12109
both appear to have lost their delta spot configurations as
they progress through their decay phases. 12108 remains the
more complex of the two, showing a beta-gamma/-type sunspot
group classification. C-class activity is probable over the
next 24 hours, with a chance for an isolated M-class flare.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a moderate level. Recently numbered NOAA
region 12113 produced two M-class events in the past 24 hours
- an M6.5 on 8-Jul-2014 at 16:06 UT and an M1.2 on 9-Jul-2014
at 00:20 UT. However, at this time we are *not* implementing a
Major Flare Watch on NOAA 12113 as it has few spots with small
area coverage while forming a beta-gamma/C-type sunspot group
classification. The largest and most complex regions on disk
are still 12108 and 12109 (both remaining a beta-gamma-delta
magnetic classification, with D- and E-type sunspot structure
classifications, respectively). NOAA 12108 has continued to
slowly emerge magnetic flux over the previous 24 hours, while
12109 appears to be in decay phase. Further C-class activity
is expected over the next 24 hours, with a chance for another
low M-class flare.

groups. Of these two regions, 12108 has shown signs of magnetic
flux emergence over the past 24 hours and has produced two low
C-class flares since the last message. Further C-class activity
is likely over the next 24 hours, with a chance for an isolated
low M-class flare.
