Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at an intermediate-low level. The largest flare produced
in the last 24 hours was an occulted M2.7 from a currently unnumbered
active region over the northeast limb at 07:52 UT today. This region
currently shows signs of large flux in short wavelength emission. Given
that NOAA 13961 has almost passed beyond the southwest limb and given the
additional activity at the northeast limb, the target region will switch to
the northeast limb. Further C-class is likely with a chance for additional
(partially occulted) M-class flares.
The approximate position of the target region on 27-January-2025 at 11:30
UT is:

Solar activity has returned to an intermediate level. The largest
event since the last message was a C5.4 flare at 17:16 UT
yesterday from the target region NOAA 13961. This region also
produced six low-C flares as it transited up to the South West
limb, which retained its high flare productivity and a beta-gamma/E-type
magnetic configuration. NOAA 13961 shall still be the target.
More C-class activity is expected, with a chance for high-C flare
in the next 24 hours.

Solar activity has grown to a moderate level. The target region
NOAA 13961 was the source of most flares since the last
message, with the largest magnitude being an M2.7 flare at
20:48 UT yesterday. 13961 retained a beta-gamma/E-type
sunspot group as it rotated toward the South West limb, with
emerging new negative fluxes in its following portion. Today the
target shall remain with NOAA 13961. Further C-class activity is
expected, with a chance for another low-M flare in the following
24 hours.

Solar activity has remained at an intermediate level over the
past 24 hours. The largest event was an eruptive C9.9 flare
at 11:43 UT today from an unnumbered region beyond the
South East limb (S17E88). The target region NOAA 13961
has decayed further but produced two >C5 flares, including
its largest - a C8.0 flare at 16:27 UT yesterday. 13961 was
stable in the classification as a beta-gamma/E-type, with its
following spots fragmenting. Today the target shall continue
as NOAA 13961. Further C-class activity is expected, with a
chance for a low-M flare in the subsequent 24 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has decreased to an intermediate level since the
last message. NOAA 13961 produced the largest event - a C9.2
flare at 01:56 UT today. This region has retained a beta-gamma/E-type
magnetic configuration and experienced significant flux emergence
ahead of its leader spot. Today the target shall switch to NOAA
13961 due to its high magnetic complexity and overall size of
700 μh. Yesterday’s target NOAA 13967 (S16W09, beta/C-type)
remains quiescent. Further C-class activity is expected, with an
isolated low-M flare likely in the coming 24 hours.

Solar activity has continued at a moderate level. The largest
event since the last message was an M1.4 flare at 10:44 UT
today from a spotless region (S16W15), accompanied by a
filament eruption. This region was just between the target region
NOAA 13967 and NOAA 13961. 13967 has increased in the
magnetic complexity to a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group,
although it was flare-quiet in the past 24 hours. 13961 (S10W29,
beta-gamma/E-type) lost a delta configuration but was the most
productive, with its largest magnitude being a C7.2 flare at 06:24
UT today. Today the target shall remain with NOAA 13967 (with
NOAA 13961 in the field of view). Further C-class activity is expected,
with an isolated low-M flare probable in the next 24 hours.

Solar activity has returned to a moderate level, due to an M3.4
flare at 10:08 UT produced by NOAA 13967. This region has
undergone the emergence of additional negative magnetic fluxes
in its intermediated portion over the past 24 hours, with a beta/C-type
configuration. To the west of 13967, NOAA 13961 (S09W15,
beta-gamma-delta/F-type) has also grown in the spot counts and
area (to 800 μh) but only produced four C-class flares. Today we
shall end the Major Flare Watch campaign, and the default target
shall switch to NOAA 13967 because of its return to M-class flaring
and proximity to 13961. Besides, NOAAs 13964 (Yesterday’s target)
and 13968 near the west limb were the only sources of C-class flare.
Further C-class activity is expected, with a good chance of another
low-M flare in the following 24 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has dropped to an intermediate level since the
last message. The largest event was a C8.2 flare at 16:58 UT
yesterday from NOAA 13959 (N18W25, beta/C-type). The target
region NOAA 13964 only produced four low-C flares in the period,
including the largest being a C4.9 flare at 14:05 UT yesterday.
This region has lost the delta configuration to be classified as
a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group. Today the Major Flare
Watch will be extended for maybe the final 24 hours with 13964.
Note that NOAA 13961 (S09E01, beta-gamma-delta/E-type) with
a sunspot area of 780 μh, and NOAA 13968 (S19W78, beta/B-type)
also were the two sources of ~C5 flare. Further C-class activity is
expected, with a slight chance for an isolated >M5 flare in the
following 24 hours.

Solar activity has been at a moderate level. The largest event
since the last message was an isolated M2.4 flare at 03:28 UT
today produced by the target NOAA 13964. 13964 was also the
source of more than ten C-class flares in the period. It has been
designated as a beta-gamma-delta/D-type configuration but
decreasing the sunspot area and number of spots slightly as it
rotates to the west limb. Additional low M-class activity is probable
with some chance of an above M5 flare in the next 24-48 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a moderate-to-high level since the
last message. The largest event during the period was an M7.5
flare at 13:24 UT yesterday produced by NOAA 13964. 13964
was also the source of eight low M-class and more than nine
C-class flares. At this point we are implementing the Major Flare
Watch campaign with NOAA 13964 as the target region. This
region has been designated as a beta-gamma/D-type configuration.
Yesterday's target NOAA 13961 (S09E29) retains a beta-gamma/
E-type configuration and produced about five C-class flares. Further
low M-class flares are expected with a chance of another above
M5 flare in the next few days.
