Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has slightly increased since the last message. The largest event in the period was an M3.9 flare at 01:22 UT today from the target region NOAA 13536, which also produced several C-class flares. 13536 retains its beta-gamma magnetic configuration with fresh flux emergence and shall continue as the target region. The Major Flare Watch shall remain in effect for a further 24 hours due to the possibility of an >M5 flare.
The position of NOAA 13536 on 4-Jan-2024 at 12:30 UT is:
N06E30, (-486",151")
