Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has returned to a moderate level in the past 24 hours, due to an M3.1 flare at 20:15 UT yesterday from NOAA 13920 (beta/E-type, N22W49). The target region NOAA 13917 has produced four C-class flares, with the largest being a C7.6 at 20:21 UT yesterday. It has been classified as a beta/D-type sunspot group as it transits to the South West limb. Further C-class activity is expected, with another low M-class flare likely in the coming 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13917 on 16-Dec-2024 at 12:30 UT is:
S07W90 (967", -118")
