Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity has returned to a low level. NOAA region 12339 has continued to produce low-level flaring activity after the X2.7 flare on 5-May-2015 at 22:05 UT. This region has now been the source of 5 C-class events since the MM#003 Major Flare Watch commenced yesterday, including the largest flare of the period (a C4.3 on 7-May-2015 at 09:54 UT). NOAA 12339 is classified as a beta-gamma/F-type sunspot group, appearing to have emerged new magnetic flux over the past 24 hours. The Major Flare Watch will continue for 24-48 hours as this region retains the potential for more flaring above the M5 level.
The position of NOAA 12339 on 7-May-2015 at 16:00 UT is:
N12E50, ( -716", 235" )
