Dear Collaborators,
Solar X-ray flux continues at background levels. NOAA 12731 has continued to decay as it approaches the western limb. The looptops of a new region are currently visible beyond the eastern limb in EUV and X-ray images, as well as in STEREO Ahead data. This shall be the new target region, with a slight chance of isolated low-level activity as the region rotates on to the visible disk.
The position of the target region on 22-Dec-2018 at 14:30 UT is:
S06E90, (-970", -102")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
