MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
NOAA 1944 has rotated too far beyond the southwestern limb to detect any further x-ray events. The new target is a region just beyond the southeastern limb in the location of active region old NOAA 1936. This region was the source of limb occulted C-class activity in the past 24 hours. The largest was a long duration C2.8 at 01/16/15:41 UT. Additional C-class events expected with the chance of an isolated M-class event in the next 24 hour period.
The approximate position of the target on January 16 at 15:45 UT is: S22E90 (Solar X = -905", Solar Y = -364")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
