Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a high level since the last message. The largest event was an M5.1 flare at 03:09 UT today from the target region NOAA 13559. This region retains a beta-gamma/F-type configuration and still increased in sunspot size and counts, with an area of 360uH. The target shall remain with NOAA 13559, although we are issuing a Major Flare Watch alert at this time due to the increased possibility of another >M5 flare within the next 24-48 hours.
The position of NOAA 13559 on 23-Jan-2024 at 12:30 UT is:
N27E04 (-60", 522")
