Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a moderate level. Target region NOAA 13311 continues to be the largest and most complex sunspot group on the visible disk, remaining classified as a beta-gamma-delta/E-type spot group. This region has been the source of twelve C-class flares since the last message including the largest magnitude flare, an M2.6 on 21-May-2023 at 15:49 UT. The MM#003 Major Flare Watch will remain in effect on NOAA 13311 for at least 24 hours more. Further low M-class activity is probable over the following 24-hour period, with a chance for another >M5 flare.
The position of NOAA 13311 on 22-May-2023 at 20:00 UT is:
N18E24 , ( -369", 320" )
