MM#003 Major Flare Watch
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The northeastern limb target region was the source of an M6.5 event at 11/03/22:30 UT. At this time we are implementing Max Millennium coordinated observing plan #003 (Region Likely To Produce A Major Flare). The region is still too close to the limb to ascertain its magnetic configuration. Another event =/>M5 is probable in the next 24 to 48 hours.
The approximate position of the target on Nov. 03 at 22:30 UT is: N14E89 (Solar X = -939", Solar Y = 232")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
Regards,
Bill Marquette (Helio Research)
