MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 1348, located beyond the northwest limb was the source of several limb occulted C-class events in the past 24 hours. 1348 is now too far beyond the limb to remain a target. The target will switch to a new region rotating over the southeast limb. This region is producing C-class activity. It is too close to the limb to ascertain its magnetic configuration but it is bright and dynamic in H-alpha. C-class events probable with a chance of an M-class event in the next 24 hour period.
The approximate position of the target on November 17 at 12:00 UT is: S16E80 (Solar X = -920", Solar Y = -275")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
