Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased significantly since the last message due to the rapid emergence of a new region in the northeast quadrant, now numbered as NOAA 13176. The region has been the source of several C-class flares, as well as two low M-class flares. The region appears to contain a positive island delta within the penumbra of a trailing negative spot. NOAA 13176 shall be the new target region with further C- and low M-class activity expected.
The position of NOAA 13176 on 27-Dec-2022 at 08:30 UT is:
N19E56, ( -766", 339" )
