MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
Solar flare activity continues at an extremely low level. The visible solar disk is spotless and almost featureless. The target plage remnant is slowly decaying. The filament located along the target plage's magnetic inversion line became active and disappeared (erupted) during the past 24 hour period. No change in the low level of solar activity expected anytime soon.
The position of the target on January 10 at 13:30 UT is: N10E02 (Solar X = -034", Solar Y = 238")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
Regards,
