Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is moderate. The target region has now been designated as NOAA 13323 and was classified as a beta/D-type spot group, although an accurate magnetic classification was still affected by its proximity to the limb at the start of the UT day. NOAA 13323 continued its flaring activity since the last message, producing several C-class flares and an M4.2 on 31-May-2023 at 22:14 UT - the largest magnitude flare in the period. We remain with 13323 as the MM#009 Default Target, but the magnetic complexity of this region will be monitored closely for possible consideration of a MM#003 Major Flare Watch. Further high C-class flares are expected over the following 24-hour period, with a good chance of additional M-class activity.
The position of NOAA 13323 on 1-Jun-2023 at 18:00 UT is:
S05E58 , ( -801", -77" )
