Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a high level since the last message. The largest event of the period was an M5.0 flare at 09:38 UT on November 3, produced by the northeast limb region, now numbered as NOAA 14274. This region also produced five low M-class (including an M3.5 at 01:31 UT, still underway) and more than ten C-class flares. At this time, we are implementing the Major Flare Watch campaign on NOAA 14274, which has been designated as a beta-gamma/E-type configuration. Additional major flare of above M5.0 will be likely in the next few days.
The position of NOAA 14274 on November 4 at 00:30 UT is:
N24E63 (-800", 380")
