Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity increased further in the past 24 hours. The two unnumbered active regions mentioned in the last message have been designated as NOAA 13088 and 13089 (target region), both of which have a beta/D-type sunspot group. These two regions were the sources of numerous (about 20) C-class flares and in particular, the target region NOAA 13089 produced three low M-class flares, an M1.8 (08/25/19:39 UT), an M1.0 (08/25/23:21 UT), and an M2.1 (08/26/10:41 UT). Both regions show an opposite flux emerging in the core. Additional M-class flares are probable in the next two days.
The position of NOAA13089 on August 25 at 07:30 UT is:
S24E52 (-684", -449")
