Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at a moderate level. Yesterday's target NOAA 13905 (S09E46, beta-gamma/E-type) has been flare-quiet since the last message, while nearby NOAA 13906 (S16E52, beta-gamma/D- type) has become active. 13906 was the source of eight mid-C-class flares in the period and now appears to be undergoing flux emergence in its trailing sunspot. Today the target shall switch to NOAA 13906, but if possible, please include NOAA 13905 in your field of view as well. The largest event in the period was an M1.2 flare from NOAA 13901 (S07W14, beta-gamma/C-type) at 15:54 UT yesterday (11/23). Additionally, a northeast region (N11E70, unnumbered yet) also produced an M1.1 flare and several C-class flares in the period. Further low M-class flares are expected in the next 24-hour period.
The position of NOAA 13906 on 24-Nov-2024 at 12:30 UT is:
S16E52 (-737",-285")
