MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar flare activity continues at a very low level. All regions on the visible solar disk are in decay phase. The most active region since the last message was NOAA 1756, S18W81. 1756 was the source of two minor C-class events. The target region NOAA 1760 has a somewhat unusual east-west magnetic inversion line and the brightest H-alpha plage on the disk. No significant solar flare activity expected anytime soon.
The position of NOAA 1760 on May 31 at 13:00 UT is: N12E43 (Solar X = -633", Solar Y = 205")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
