Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at an intermediate level. A small number of flares were produced in the last 24 hours, with two M1.2 flares being produced at 16:36 UT yesterday and 02:00 UT today from NOAA 14232 and NOAA 14226, respectively. Both NOAA 14230 and NOAA 14236 remain classified as beta-gamma-delta regions and have both achieved equal sunspot areas. Given the proximity of NOAA 14230 to the limb, the target region will now switch to NOAA 14236. Additionally, given the lack of substantial activity from either region, we are ending the MFW at this time. However, close attention should still be paid to the development of the target region. Further C-class and low M-class activity is expected.
The position of NOAA 14236 on 02-October-2025 at 11:30 UT is
N10W07, (115", 57") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
