Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues to be at a low level. The largest event since the last message was a C4.6 flare at 16:49 UT yesterday produced by the limb target NOAA 14141. 14141 also produced another four low C-class flares during the period. In addition, NOAA 14140 (S15E25, beta/D-type) and 14142 (N02E43, beta/ C-type, just emerged yesterday) produced four ~C2 flares. Considering that 14141 (S13W91) has been rotated over the west limb, today the target will switch to NOAA 14139. 14139 emerged new magnetic fluxes in the past 24 hours and has been designated as a beta-gamma/D-type region. It produced a C1.1 flare today. If possible, please also include NOAA 14136 (N19W07) in the field of view, which has evolved to show a beta- gamma/E-type configuration. Additional C-class activities are expected from various regions in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14139 on July 15 at 11:30 UT is:
N21W22 (331", 276")
