Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is low. Target region NOAA 13723 decayed even further in terms of spot area and number of spots since the last message, and is now classified as a beta/B-type sunspot group. NOAA 12723 was again the source of one C-class flare in the period (a C2.2 on 30-Jun-2024 at 04:07 UT). The new region that produced the largest flare before yesterday's message has now been designated as NOAA 13734 (a beta/C-type sunspot group) and has been the most flare-productive region with three C-class flares, including the largest flare in the period (a C3.8 on 30-Jun-2024 at 05:48 UT). Further C-class flares are expected over the following 24-hour period, with a small chance for an isolated M-class flare.
The position of NOAA 13734 on 30-Jun-2024 at 15:30 UT is:
N08E61 , ( -818", 108" )
