MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
Solar minimum conditions continue. The sun is blank except for a few filaments and a tiny C24 plage that recently emerged (N14E68). The plage currently has a tiny leading polarity pore. The target filament located in the southern polar zone disappeared since the last message. The new target is a slightly active filament located in the northern polar zone. It is possible the filament will disappear in the next 24 hour period.
The approximate position of the target on May 24 at 06:45 UT is: N47E07 (Solar X = -078", Solar Y = 713")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
