Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased slightly since the last message. The largest event was a C4.5 flare at 17:02 UT yesterday from the target region NOAA 14079 (N08W33). 14079 retains its size and was the most flare-productive region on the disk, producing over 20 low C-class flares during the period, although its magnetic complexity has declined to a beta–gamma type. NOAA 14079 shall remain the target region today, and further C-class activity is expected over the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14079 on 7-May-2025 at 11:30 UT is:
N08W33 (514",180")
