Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity had increased slightly since the last message, but has returned to a low level for the recent several hours. The main source of activity was NOAA 14316, which produced an M1.3 flare at 18:12 UT yesterday (12/21) and more than 10 low-to-mid C class flares. This region underwent new flux emergence at in the West vicinity of leading sunspot but appears to hit lull now.
Yesterday's target, NOAA 14317 had been flare-quiet during a series of flares by NOAA 14316, but started to produce a few low-C class flares today from the Eastern side of the main leading sunspot. It is also notable that a new sunspot pair has emerged in the Southeast of this leading sunspot. Today we will continue to observe NOAA 14317 at the Eastern side of the leading sunspot, expecting additional C class events.
The position of the target in NOAA 14317 on 22-December-2025 at 17:00 UT is: N10E50 (-737", 204").
