Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a very low level. NOAA 14207 was the site of several flares close to the solar limb, the largest being a C7.6 at 15:09 UT yesterday. NOAA 14213 has shown signs of decay, now classified as a beta type region. Since the last message, this region has produced no new flares. NOAA 14216 is a newly numbered active region on the northeastern edge of the solar disk and shows notable emerging flux. Due to the inactivity of NOAA 14213, the target region will switch to NOAA 14216 for the coming 24 hours. Further C-class activity is anticipated.
The position of NOAA 14216 on 12-September-2025 at 11:30 UT is
N09E70, (-885", 107") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
