Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is moderate. Target region NOAA 13806 has emerged new magnetic flux since the last message, growing in sunspot area and number of spots with a corresponding increase in complexity to be classed as a beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot group. NOAA 13807 (a beta-gamma/D-type sunspot group) produced four C-class flares in the period. A region currently located beyond the South East limb also produced C-class flares and an M1.2 on 31-Aug-2024 at 08:52 UT, while target NOAA 13806 produced three M-class flares - an M1.1, M1.2, and M1.8 on 31-Aug-2024 at 00:38 UT, 02:26 UT, and 12:50 UT, respectively. Additional C-class activity is expected over the next 24-hour period, with a strong chance of a mid-M-class flare.
The position of NOAA 13806 on 31-Aug-2024 at 15:30 UT is:
S11E31 , ( -482" , -280" )
