Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at a low level. NOAA 11698 has continued to produce C-class activity in the past 24 hours, the largest being a C4.3 flare on 19-Mar-2013 at 00:51 UT. This region is designated as a beta/E-type sunspot group but has now rotated over the South West limb, with a resulting decrease in the background X-ray flux. A new positive-polarity spot has emerged in the past 12 hours in front of the primary negative-polarity spot of NOAA 11692. This new magnetic flux might destabilize the previously quiescent magnetic topology, but the target will remain with the flare-productive NOAA 11698 as its higher-lying loops will remain visible for the next 12-24 hours. Further low C-class activity is possible, with a small chance for an isolate high C-/low M-class event.
