Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has dropped to an intermediate level since the last message. The largest event was a C8.2 flare at 16:58 UT yesterday from NOAA 13959 (N18W25, beta/C-type). The target region NOAA 13964 only produced four low-C flares in the period, including the largest being a C4.9 flare at 14:05 UT yesterday. This region has lost the delta configuration to be classified as a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group. Today the Major Flare Watch will be extended for maybe the final 24 hours with 13964. Note that NOAA 13961 (S09E01, beta-gamma-delta/E-type) with a sunspot area of 780 μh, and NOAA 13968 (S19W78, beta/B-type) also were the two sources of ~C5 flare. Further C-class activity is expected, with a slight chance for an isolated >M5 flare in the following 24 hours.
