Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has dropped to a moderate level since the last message. Seven low-M and seven C-class flares were produced by the target region NOAA 14366, with the largest magnitude being an M2.7 at 04:25 UT today. This region has retained a beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot group with an area of >1000 μh, showing the emergence of shearing and rotational magnetic fluxes in its intermediate portion. Today, the Major Flare Watch region will continue at 14366. Low-M activity is expected, with a chance for an isolated >M5 flare in the coming 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14366 on 5-Feb-2026 08:30 UT is:
N14W12 (197", 336")
