MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
NOAA 1944 continues in decay phase losing sunspot area, sunspot count and magnetic complexity but is still a large F-type/beta-gamma region. It is possible that 1944 will produce another M-class event before west limb passage.
The position of NOAA 1944 on January 13 at 12:30 UT is: S10W76 (Solar X = 932", Solar Y = -151")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
