MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
The southwestern limb target filament/prominence system has occasionally shown an active phase during the past 24 hours but the default target will switch to a tiny region that is rotating over the southeastern limb at S09 degrees. The region is currently displaying an A-type/alpha sunspot group. The region was the source of some minor bright surges today. No noteworthy solar flare activity expected.
The position of the target on September 30 at 18:00 UT is: S09E85 (Solar X = -943", Solar Y = -159")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
