Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a very low level with the
GOES soft X-ray flux below C1. The largest event
since the last message was a B9.5 flare at 04:55 UT
today produced by NOAA 14416 (N20W41), which
remains a beta/D-type configuration. The target region
NOAA 14419 produced four B-class flares during the
period, the largest one being a B8.1 at 04:38 UT today.
14419 has been designated as a beta-gamma/C-type
region, increasing in the sunspot area and number of
spots. C-class activity is expected over the next 24-hour
period.
The position of NOAA 14419 on April 15 at 07:30 UT is:

Solar activity continues at a very low level. The largest event
since the last message was a C1.2 flare at 11:20 UT yesterday
from NOAA 14414 (N15W03). NOAA 14414 has lost its sunspots,
becoming a plage region. Another region, NOAA 14416 (N19W31,
beta/D-type), was the source of six B3-B7 flares during the period.
The target region has been designated as NOAA 14419 and shows
a beta/C-type magnetic configuration. It only produced two B-class
flares (B5.2 and B3.8) but is exhibiting an increasing flux and helicity.
Today we will continue to watch this region. B- to C-class activities
are expected from multiple regions in the following 24 hours.

Solar activity has been at a very low level since the last message.
The largest event during the period was a B5.1 flare at 06:58 UT
from a northeast limb region (N14E88). This unnumbered limb region
also produced two ~B4 flares. Today the target will switch to this limb
region. Yesterday's target had been designated as NOAA 14417 (S08W91)
having a beta/D-type configuration and produced four B3-B4 flares,
which was rotating over the west limb. Another region, NOAA 14416
(N19W15, beta/D-type), also produced three B4-B5 flares. Only C-class
flares are expected from multiple regions in the next 24 hours.
The approximate position of the limb target on April 13 at 07:00 UT is:

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased to a moderate level since the last
message due to a series of flares produced by a region approaching
the Southwest limb. This region emerged in the Southwest vicinity
of NOAA 14411, whose sunspots had vanished by the end of 4/10.
This unnumbered region produced 7 low-C class flares and several
B-class flares in the last 20 hours, although it undergoes limb
transit today(4/12). Yesterday's target, NOAA 14416 produced 2 B
class flares since the last message, but showing no further
activity during the last 20 hours.
Today we will switch the target to the Southwest limb region,
expecting additional C class activities during its progression over
the Southwest limb.
The position of the target on 12-April-2026 at 16:00 UT is:
S07W82 (941", -111").

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues to be at a low level since the last message.
The largest event in the past 24 hours was a C1.1 flare at 10:08 UT
today(4/11) produced by NOAA 14416. This is a new region that
emerged in the West of NOAA 14414 yesterday, and is crossing the
North central meridian today. NOAA 14416 is currently classified as
a beta-type, but showing a sign of further flux emergence adding new
sunspots. Yesterday's target, NOAA 14414 has been stable with no
flare activity in the last 12 hours.
Today we will switch the target to NOAA 14416 to monitor its growth.
Additional C class activities are expected.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been very low since the last message. The target
region, NOAA 14409 produced several mid-to-high B class flares
during its West limb transit. The largest event in the past 24 hours
was a B7.6 flare at 12:39 UT today(4/10) from NOAA 14414. While
this region lost one of its leading (positive polarity) sunspots, a few
tiny spots appeared at its trailing (negative) polarity region, where
the B7.6 event came from.
Today we will switch the target to NOAA 14414 to observe its trailing
polarity region. High-B to C class events are expected.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a low-to-moderate level since the last
message. The target region NOAA 14409, approaching the West limb,
produced an M1.1 flare at 8:23 UT today(4/9), in addition to several
high-B to low-C class events in the last 24 hours. NOAA 14414,
rotated from the Northeastern limb produced a C8.7 flare yesterday,
but keeps quiet for more than 10 hours.
Today NOAA 14409 shall remain the target while it undergoes West-limb
transit. Additional high-B to C class flares are expected, with a
chance of another M-class event.
The position of the target in NOAA 14409 on 9-April-2026 at
16:00 UT is: N01W79 (940", 38").

Solar activity remains at a low level since the last message.
The largest event in the past 24 hours was a C5.7 flare at 18:15 UT
yesterday(4/7) produced by the target region NOAA 14409.
This region has undergone flux emergence at the trailing portion
yesterday to have produced a few high-B to C class events.
There is a region rotated from the Northeast limb, which was now
assigned the number NOAA 14414. This region has been another
source of flare activity since yesterday but the magnitude of these
flares are currently low-C level.
Today we will continue to observe NOAA 14409. Additional high-B to
C class events are expected from the area of trailing sunspots.
The position of the target in NOAA 14409 on 8-April-2026 at
16:00 UT is: N00W66 (875", 55").

today (4/7) produced by the target region NOAA 14409.
This region also produced a few high-B class flares from the East
side of the leading sunspot that increased in size due to merging.
Today we will continue to observe NOAA 14409. Additional high-B to C
class events are expected from the East side of the leading sunspot.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has declined to a low level. The largest event since
the last message was a C2.8 flare at 23:25 UT yesterday(4/6)
produced by the target region NOAA 14409. Although this region is
almost the only source of the flares in the period, NOAA 14409 has
reduced magnetic complexity to a beta type and is losing sunspots in
the trailing area.
Today we will end the Major Flare Watch campaign but continue to
observe NOAA 14409 as the default target. Additional high-B to C
class events are expected from the area of leading sunspots.
