Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity is at low levels. NOAA 12488 was the source of four
C-class flares (the largest being a C3.5 at 7:57 UT on January 29)
and several B-class flares since the last message. 12488 has
developed a complex beta-gamma magnetic configuration in the
past 24 hours. We will switch back to NOAA 12488. Additional
C-class activities are expected in the following one or two days
when 12488 is rotating over the west limb.

Solar activity has increased significantly in the past 24 hours.
NOAA 12488 (N03W50) showed a resurgence and produced
the largest event, a C9.6 flare at 11:48 UT on January 28, and
also produced another two C-class flares (C5.3 & C2.8). The
target region NOAA 12489 seems to be quiet since the last
message, but it has the potential to produce some activities.
12489 has developed some magnetic complexity with a beta/
D-type sunspot group increasing in spot area significantly. It is
showing flux emergence in its leading portion. Further C-class
flares are likely in the next 24 hours.

Solar activity is at a low level, but seems to increase slightly.
There was a filament eruption at ~17:30 UT on January 26
from NOAA 12486 (S18W40), which was accompanied with
a two-ribbon flare (C1.3, being the largest event in the past
24 hours) as well as a beautiful CME. Yesterday's target region
NOAA 12488 has decayed somewhat. Another region NOAA
12489 has shown some signs of development with a beta/D-type
classification. 12489 was the source of a few high-level B-class
events and a C1.0 flare at 13:26 UT today. Further C-class
activities are expected in the following 24 hours.

The level of solar activity remains very low with only several B-class
events from the newly numbered region NOAA 12489 (N09E45). The
target region NOAA 12488 remains its beta/D-type classification, with
slightly increasing in sunspot area but decreasing in number of spots.
No significant events are expected over the next 24 hours.

Solar activity continues at a low level. The largest event since the
last message was a C1.4 at 9:00 UT on January 25 produced by
an unnumbered region near the northeastern limb (N09E63). The
target region NOAA 12488 only produced several B-class flares in
the past 24 hours. 12488 remains its beta/D-type sunspot group
with increasing in spot area and number of spots. It is showing some
mixed polarities in its leading negative spot. Some low level activities
are expected in the next 24 hour period.

spot area and number of spots in the past 24 hours and maintained
a beta/D-type sunspot group. 12488 was the source of the largest
flare since the last message, a C1.4 on 24-Jan-2016 at 04:07 UT.
More low-to-mid C-class flares are possible over the following 24
hours.

over the previous 24 hours, losing area, number of spots and penumbral
coverage. NOAA 12488 has remained stable and produced the largest event
since the last message (a B7.1 flare on 22-Jan-2016 at 23:47 UT). More
B-class flares are expected over the next 24 hours.

marginally in spot area and number of spots over the past 24 hours
and remains classified as a beta/D-type sunspot group. This region
has lost some of its penumbral coverage and has produced no flares
since the last message. More C-class activity is possible over the
next 24 hours.

to grow in spot area and number of spots over the past 24 hours and
has been classified as a beta/D-type sunspot group. This region has
flared the most since the last message, producing two C-class events
that included the largest magnitude flare (a C2.9 on 21-Jan-2016 at
01:17 UT). Further C-class activity is expected over the following
24 hours as NOAA 12487 continues to show signs of flux emergence.

Solar activity is at a low level. NOAA region 12486 has remained stable
over the previous 24 hours and the spotted region to its North has been
designated as NOAA 12487. This region has a beta/C-type sunspot group
classification and was the source of the joint-largest flare since the
last message (a C1.3 on 20-Jan-2016 at 14:25 UT, with NOAA 12484 being
the source of a C1.3 on 20-Jan-2016 at 07:30 UT). More C-class activity
is probable over the next 24 hours as 12487 continues to show signs of
flux emergence and spot growth.
