Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at intermediate levels with NOAA 12157
continuing to produce C-level events over the past 24 hours, the
largest of which was a C7.8 flare at 19:29 UT yesterday. The region
retains its beta-gamma-delta configuration but has diminished in size
due to flux cancellation to the south of the dominant trailing spot.
Further C-level activity expected with chance for an isolated low
M-class flare.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The largest x-ray event in the past 24 hours was an M1.1
at 09/06/17:09 UT produced by target region NOAA 2157.
2157 also was the source of several C-class events.
2157 is maintaining its beta-gamma-delta magnetic classification.
C-class activity is expected with the chance of an isolated
M-class event and a slight chance of an event =/>M5 in the next
24 hour period. NOAA 2158, N15E45 has new flux emerging
in the southern portion of its large sunspot and is displaying
bright H-alpha along its magnetic inversion line. If development
continues, 2158 will increase its probability to produce C- and
M-class events.

MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 2157 continues to produce C-class
activity. The largest C-class event was a C8.0 at
09/06/08:14 UT. 2157 has an E-type/beta-gamma-delta
sunspot group with bright H-alpha plage. The tight magnetic
delta configuration is located within the large penumbra of
the trailing polarity sunspot. C-class events expected with
a good chance of an isolated M-class event and even a chance
of an event =/>M5 in the next 24 hour period. NOAA 2158 located
in the northeastern quadrant is a large reversed polarity
"self-contained" sunspot with opposite polarity spots widely
spaced within its single penumbra. 2158 has been stable and quiescent
since rotating over the east limb.

NOAA 2157 was the source of numerous C-class events
in the past 24 hours. The largest was a C6.7 at 09/05/0654 UT.
2157 is a large E-type/beta-gamma sunspot group with a possible
magnetic delta configuration. C-class events expected with the
chance of an isolated M-class event in the next 24 hours.
There is also a slight chance of an event =/>M5.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The target region now numbered NOAA 2157 has rotated
over the southeastern limb but is still too close to the
limb to ascertain its magnetic configuration. It has bright H-alpha
plage and appears to have mixed polarities. This region
was the source of the long-duration limb occulted M2.5 event
yesterday and one of the farside major flares on September 1st.
The source region that produced another farside major flare
on September 1st is now rotating over the northeastern limb
at N15 degrees. NOAA 2157 has the potential to produce another
M-class event with even the chance of an M=/>M5 in the next
24 hour period. We will also closely monitor the limb passage
of the large active region in the northeast.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 2152 is mostly unchanged. The target
will switch to the southeastern limb to an active region that
was the source of a long-duration limb occulted M2.5 event
at 09/03/13:53 UT. A large leader sunspot has rotated over
the limb at S19 degrees. C- and M-class events probable
with even a chance of an event =/>M5 in the next 24 hours.
The approximate position of the target on Sept. 03 at 13:45 UT is:

The target will switch from NOAA 2149 to NOAA 2152 today.
2152 has added significant new flux within its intermediate
portion. It is currently classified as a E-type/beta-gamma
region. C-class events probable with the chance of an
isolated M-class event in the next 24 hour period.
Noteworthy solar activity since the last message:
There were two additional major solar flares yesterday
produced by regions beyond the eastern limb and the
old quiescent 42 degree filament centered at approximately
N20W15 slowly ascended and disappeared a few hours ago today.
The position of NOAA 2152 on September 02 at 11:00 UT is:

NOAA 2149 produced a few C-class events in the past 24
hours. 2149 is mostly unchanged with mixed polarities
and bright H-alpha plage. C-class events probable in the
next 24 hour period. Note: A region located a few days beyond
the east limb was the source of what appears to be a major
flare beginning at 09/01/11:05 UT. The flare was associated
with a bright CME.

NOAA 2149 continues to slowly decay but is maintaining
mixed polarities and bright H-alpha plage. 2149 is producing
C-class events. The largest since the last message was a
long-duration C7.1 at 08/31/11:00 UT. NOAA 2152, S17E21,
has grown significantly in the past few days and was also
the source of C-class events in the past 24 hours. Both
target region 2149 and 2152 have the potential to produce
C-class events with a slight chance of an isolated M-class
in the next 24 hour period.
