MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
NOAA 1654 has decayed losing significant magnetic complexity,
sunspot area and sunspot count in the past 24 hours.
It currently has a simple beta magnetic configuration. NOAA 1652
(N18W90) was the source of minor C-class events during west
limb passage. No significant solar flare activity expected in the
next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 1654 on January 18 at 14:00 UT is:
N07W55 (Solar X = 794", Solar Y = 166")

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
NOAA 1654 is slowly decaying but still has some weak
mixed polarities within the intermediate portion of its
F-type/beta-gamma sunspot group. A C-class event
is possible with a slight chance of an isolated M-class event
in the next 24 hour period.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar flare activity continues at a low level - no significant flares in
the past several days. NOAA 1654 is mostly unchanged.
It is a large F-type/beta-gamma region with patches of
bright H-alpha plage. The mixed polarity is located within its
intermediate portion. C-class activity probable with the
chance of an isolated M-class event in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 1654 on January 16 at 14:00 UT is:

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
NOAA 1654 continues to display a large F-type/beta-gamma
sunspot group and bright H-alpha plage. The intermediate portion
of the region has mixed polarities. Although 1654 has recently only
managed to be the source of C-class events, it is possible that
it could produce an isolated M-class event in the next 24 hour
period.
The position of NOAA 1654 on January 15 at 14:00 UT is:

No significant changes observed in target region NOAA 1654.
It is maintaining its large F-type/beta-gamma sunspot group.
Both 1654 and NOAA 1652 (N19W36) were the source of C-class
activity in the past 24 hours. Additional C-class events expected
with a chance of an isolated M-class event in the next
24 hour period.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
NOAA 1654 is mostly unchanged maintaining its large
F-type/beta-gamma sunspot group. Despite its large magnetically
complex configuration and dynamic bright H-alpha plage,
1654 has failed to produce a major event =>M5.
The largest events today ( M1.0 at 00:50 and M1.7 at 08:38 UT)
were produced by NOAA 1652, N19W22. 1652 and target 1654
are expected to produce C-class events with the chance of an
M-class event in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 1654 on January 13 at 14:00 UT is:

MM#003 Major Flare Watch
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
NOAA 1654 has decayed somewhat in the past 24 hours but it
is still maintaining a large F-type/beta-gamma sunspot group with
bright plage. 1654 was only able to produce C-class events
since the M1.0 event on 01/11/15:06 UT. It is less likely but
still possible for 1654 to produce an isolated event =>M5 in the
next 24 hours. The MFW will continue for at least another day.

MM#003 Major Flare Watch
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
NOAA 1654 has increased its magnetic complexity during the past
24 hours. 1654 produced 13 C-class events and two M-class events
since the last message. The M-class events were an M1.2
at 01/11/09:11 UT and a long-duration M1.0 at 01/11/15:06 UT.
1654 is a large F-type/beta-gamma-delta region. The leading
portion of the region has a large amount of opposite polarity plage
surrounding the leader sunspot. At this time we are implementing
Max Millennium coordinated observing plan #003 (Region Likely
To Produce A Major Flare). An isolated M-class event =>M5 is
possible in the next 24 hour period.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 1654 produced C-class events in the past
24 hours. It is maintaining its large E-type/beta sunspot group.
Former target NOAA 1652, N19E17, is classified more magnetically complex
with its beta-gamma-delta classification. The small delta configuration
is located in the leading sunspot but 1654 is more dynamic with brighter
H-alpha plage and continuous dark surges. There is a chance of an isolated
M-class event from either region in the next 24 hour period.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 1652 is decaying. The new target will be
the large region (NOAA 1654) located in the northeast quadrant.
1654 is currently classified as a large E-type/beta sunspot group.
1654 was the source of a few C-class events in the past 24 hours.
The largest was a C3.1 at 01/09/14:55 UT. Continued C-class
activity expected with a chance of an isolated M-class event in
the next 24 hour period.
