Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased further since the last message. The largest event during the period was a C6.2 flare at 10:35 UT today, produced by NOAA 14366 (N16E58, beta/D-type). This region also produced seven other C-class flares, including C4.9 and C6.1 events. NOAA 14349 (S14W80) also produced a C6.0 flare during the period. Yesterday’s target region, NOAA 14363, produced only a C3.6 flare in the period. Today, we will switch the target to NOAA 14366. Additional C-class activity is expected over the next 24 hours, with a chance of an isolated low-level M-class event.
The position of NOAA 14366 on 31-Jan-2026 12:30 UT is:
N16E58 (-795",319")
