Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a low-to-moderate level since the last message. The main source of activity was over the Northwestern limb, having produced 2 M class flares in the past 24 hours; an M1.8 at 20:03 UT yesterday(10/19) from NOAA 14246 and an M1.1 at 05:10 UT today from the target region, NOAA 14248. An unnumbered region from the Eastern limb produced a C3.0 flare at 22:44 UT yesterday, but it has kept quiet since then.
While the high loop system of NOAA 14246 has almost disappeared from our view from the Earth, that of NOAA 14248 being right on the limb is showing some dynamism. Today, we will continue to observe NOAA 14248, at its loop system over the West limb while it rotates behind the limb. A few C class activities are expected.
The position of the target in NOAA 14248 on 20-October-2025 at 15:30 UT is: N05W85 (956", 82").
