Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at high levels for the past 24 hours. The largest event since the last message was an M9.0 at 12:25 UT today from the target region NOAA 13311. This region was also the source of another 6 M-class (including an M6.5 and the other being low M-class) flares and it has been classified as a beta-delta/E-type configuration. 13311 emerged new sunspots and new magnetic fluxes. Today the Major Flare Watch region shall continue at this region. In addition, NOAA 13312 (S25E63, beta/C-type) also produced an M1.1 flare in the period. Further low M-class activities are expected in the following 24-48 hours, with a good chance for another above M5 flare.
The position of NOAA 13311 on 20-May-2023 at 11:30 UT
