Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a moderate to low level. The target region, NOAA 12222 released the largest event since the previous message, a M1.8 flare on 1-Dec-2014 at 06:26 UT. Over the last 24 hours, the region has released a rapid series of C-class events, the largest being a C6.5 flare on 2-Dec-2014 at 15:39 UT. Coupled with continued flux emergence in the intermediate portion of the region, the rapid flaring is highly indicative of further significant activity to come. Further high C-class activity is expected with the chance for an M-class event.
The position of NOAA 12222 on 2-Dec-2014 at 22:35 UT is:
S21W10 ( 158", -360" )
