Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has slightly increased since the last message. The largest event during the period was an M6.1 flare at 14:50 UT today, produced by the target region NOAA 13697. 13697 remains classified as a beta-gamma-delta configuration and was also the source of six C-class flares, including two ~C8 flares. The Major Flare Watch will continue with NOAA 13697 as the target region, due to its magnetic complexity and continued flux emergence. Please note that a southeast limb region (S10E89) also produced a C9.5 flare in the period. Additional >M5 activity is possible in the next 24-48 hours.
The position of NOAA 13697 on 6-Jun-2024 at 15:30 UT is:
S18W42 (603",-293")
