Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity was at a high level in the past 24 hours. The target region NOAA 13184 produced an X1.9 flare at 01/09/18:37 UT and also two M1 plus a few C-class flares. 13184 retains an alpha/H-type configuration but increases in the sunspot area and number of spots. Today the Major Flare Watch will remain in effect with NOAA 13184. In addition, an M5.1 flare was produced by a northeast limb region (N24E79). Please also note that NOAA 13181 (S19W40) produced an M2.7 flare at 01/10/02:33 UT, which has been classified as a beta-gamma-delta/E-type region. Further M-class flares are probable from various regions in the next 24-48 hours.
The position of NOAA 13184 on January 10 at 12:30 UT
S14E60 (-821", -202")
