MM#003 Major Flare Watch
Dear Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 3014 (E-type/beta-delta) is slowly decaying and produced only minor C-class events since the last message. The magnetic delta configuration has significantly weakened but 3014 is still a large and complex region. An event =>M5 remains a slight possibility in the next 24 hour period. Note that a region located just beyond the southeastern limb (S11) was the source of a limb occulted C3.6 event at 05/24/06:37 UT.
The position of NOAA 3014 on May 24 at 14:45 UT is: N23W56 (Solar X = 725", Solar Y = 384")
