Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is low-to-moderate. Target region NOAA 12882 initially decayed slightly following the last message, but then developed spots in its trailing polarity flux to be classified a beta-gamma/C-type sunspot group. This region was the source of several B-class flares since the last message and the largest flare of the period, a C5.5 on 7-Oct-2021 at 02:35 UT. After this, NOAA 12882 has started emerging new flux on the Northern edge of its main leading polarity spot, which has already formed pores. More B-class flaring is expected in the following 24-hour period, with a good chance for additional C-class activity.
The position of NOAA 12882 on 7-Oct-2021 at 16:30 UT is:
N16E34 , ( -517", 179" )
