MM#003 Major Flare Watch
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
NOAA 2371 was the source of C-class activity and an isolated M1.0 event at 06/20/06:47 UT. 2371 is maintaining its large E-type/beta-gamma-delta sunspot group. The delta, although large, has a somewhat weak magnetic configuration due to its widely-spaced opposite polarity umbrae. We will continue the major flare watch for another 24 hours. An isolated M-class event =/>M5 is still possible.
The position of NOAA 2371 on June 20 at 11:00 UT is: N13E23 (Solar X = -361", Solar Y = 189")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
