Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has declined to a low level since the last message. The largest event during the period was a C7.3 flare at 08:09 UT today from NOAA 14362 (S17W40; beta/C-type). The target region NOAA 14366 (N14W38) remains a beta-gamma-delta configuration and produced seven low C-class flares during the period, the largest of which was a C4.2 flare. We are ending the Major Flare Watch, but we will continue to monitor NOAA 14366 as the target region due to significant ongoing flux emergence. Additional C-class activity is expected over the next 24 hours, with a chance of low M-class events.
The position of NOAA 14366 on 7-Feb-2026 08:30 UT is:
N14W38 (582",318")
