Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has decreased to an intermediate level. The largest event since the last message was a C7.4 flare at 23:54 UT yesterday produced by NOAA 13889 (S10E42). It also was a source of eight C-class flares and the most productive region. 13889 has been classified as a beta-gamma-delta/E-type sunspot group. The target NOAA 13883 appears to be decaying and was confirmed as a beta-delta/F-type sunspot group. It only produced four C-class flares with the largest being a C7.3 flare at 12:15 UT today. Today the Major Flare Watch will be extended for the final 24 hours with NOAA 13883. More C-class activities are expected, with a slight chance for an isolated major flare in the following 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13883 on 9-Nov-2024 at 16:30 UT is:
S06W31 (497", -151")
