Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased to an intermediate level since the last message. The largest event was a C8.2 flare at 07:22 UT today from an unnumbered region near the South East limb. This region also produced seven ~C2-C6 flares and was the most productive region. It appears to be a (at least) bipolar sunspot group. Today the target shall switch to this limb region from NOAA 13917. 13917 has already rotated beyond the South West limb. Note that NOAA 13920 (N19W70) also produced two ~C3 flares. More low-C activities are expected, with another high-C flare very likely in the next 24 hours.
The approximate position of the target on 18-Dec-2024 at 12:30 UT is:
S16E89 (-900", -200")
